    University of Thessaly
    The Network Operations and Telematics Applications Center of the University of Thessaly consists of a team of 12 experienced software engineers supported by adequate administrative personnel. The group's mission is the development of the network infrastructure of the University of Thessaly as well as the introduction to the University community of network centered applications and services, such as digital library technology, distributed systems, web content design, management, and personalization, distance education, teleconferencing, etc.

    The group is participating in the Greek Universities Network (GUnet), a network of 32 Greek higher education institutions lead by the University of Athens whose mission is the implementation of advanced network services and telematics applications in the participating organizations including IP Multicast Backbone, IPv6, video on demand, voice over IP, network security, real time services (teleconferencing, teleeducation, and telework), etc. In addition, the group is participating at the EDUnet project, a national level initiative for the introduction of pilot telematics services via the internet to Greek secondary schools.

    University of Northumbria at Newcastle
    The University of Northumbria is one of the largest Universities in the UK offering over 500 study programmes to over 21,000 students. The school's four campuses offer a range of lifestyles, from the bustle of a major city centre site in the heart of Newcastle, to the rural tranquillity of the Longhirst Campus set in 45 acres of parkland.

    In recent years the Higher Education Funding Council for England has audited a wide range of subjects and to date, no subject area assessed at Northumbria has received less than a Satisfactory award. Indeed, the Sunday Times listed Northumbria as "Best New University" for three consecutive years in 1998, 1999, 2000.

    Sor Trondelag University College
    The Faculty of Technology at the Sor Trondelag University College is the largest in Norway and consists of 7 departments covering different engineering areas as General Science, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science. The faculty has 7 years with experience of ODL courses and offers for the moment about 75 different ODL courses in most of the fields specified above. The Faculty has a team of 25 - 30 persons with experience and expertise regarding eLearning of on-line flexible education material and production of multimedia material as for instance visualizations, animations and flash solutions.
